Vote If You Want Him/Her To Stay!

The Singapore General Election is very much like Singapore Idol/ Project Superstar.
Vote for your favourite politician!

Feel that the recent dialogue some journalists had with MM Mr Lee didn't reflect the general opinion of the ground.
One said that young people nowdays were apolitical. That the kids in secondary sch etc did not care about the state of Singapore at all.
Well of course! In secondary school I was more concerned with looking good in the neoprints I took when I skipped class, hanging out in town, making a nuisance of myself.
MM Lee said later on that if that was the state of affairs nowadays, he felt a little sad.
Oh man! I hate to see an old man sad!
I do care about what the parties have to offer my GRC.
In fact, Im more than happy to vote and I can't wait to make an informed decision.

The political scene in Singapore is special for obvious reasons.
In addition, there are various characters who spice things up the wrong way.
I find it incomprehensible that someone who is relatively highly educated can act like my neighbourhood beng.
Maybe its just a Singaporean trait bah!
Glad they are not contesting in my GRC or else my vote would be a no-brainer.

Finally..

Was studying at Mac and there was a baby wailing his lungs out while his poor mother was trying to have a meal.
How come when babies cry there are no tears?????
And how come the baby can cry, stop(look normal),cry, stop(look normal)..in matter of few seconds.
Fine actor, master manipulator this little chap is.

Macdonalds is a bad place to study.
Especially when I bring my laptop along.. I just end up chatting on msn and downloading songs.
And my newly found bunch of mahjong kakis seem to be stalking me there..

At least I finally won today :)
Smirks.

Here Comes The Ambulance

Yesterday, I saw a traffic policeman at the T junction at my place, thought he was probably issuing some summons.
An hour later, my friend SK called to say that she had been hit by a motorbike.
I was rather shocked because she's my first friend to have been hit by a vehicle.
I thought the whole thing was a little funny.
(On hindsight, Im a really horrible person)
Was intrigued by the incident.
Asked her whether she flew.. And yes, she did fly a little.
Injured her leg,arms,face..
SK is different from other people.
She's not retarded but she's slower and you can tell physically.
So I feel bad that that she's already born not so good-looking and she has to be hit by a vehicle, bashed up by the neighbourhood girl thugs (in the past) etc..
BeeBee said Im mean when I commented that I thought the whole thing was funny.
But Jay laughed when I told him about it.
Guess Im not that bad after all.
Grins.

Im Connected To The World Once Again!

I am the proud owner of a Motorola V3X!!!!
And its a cool shade of pink!
Called in advance to check whether the shop had stock and arrived 15 mins before opening time too. (Because there were a few handsets left)
Had to take these precautions because there were many many many occasions throughout the years where I went to the handphone shop in great anticipation only to be disappointed.
No stock lah, contract not over yet, no stock, some bullshit etc...
So, 12 hours later, Im still feeling incredulous I had a successful transaction.
And now, Im bloody broke.

Another Mindless Friday

Realised that exams are really near and im not prepared.
Scared. Really.
At times like this, i feel so useless.
I should be out fighting, tryin to survive, in the dog-eat-dog world by this age.
But here I am, trying to graduate. Still.
Sucky Friday nights.

Nearly cried while studying microeconomics at Mac.
Probably because i was reminded of the fat pig lecturer (whom i hate).
And who happens to be my next door neighbour.
The Crazy Ex walked past back and forth numerous times, sending me into bouts of frustration.
The appearance of the Creepy Lady In The Pink Dress affirmed that it really was a sucky Friday.

I badly need a mahjong session.

Miss Popular

Took the second last row seat in the bus today.
Suddenly, people were sitting next to me one after another.
I was HOT stuff man!
Then I turned around and realised there was a weird lady at the back.
She was clipping stuff off the back of her ear with a nail clipper.
Hobbit perhaps?

It Died On Me

My Hp switched off after its battery died, and decided it'll never switch on again.

Fine.
I have decided to get the Motorola V3X or the Nokia 6280.
Maybe both.

Stupid Sony Ericsson.

I Think I Saw My Future

Many years back, I used to work at the 7-11 in my neighbourhood.
Encountered many interesting characters there, one of whom was a spooky old lady.
She permanently wore a pink floral dress over her skinny hunched back, completing her look with white powdered hands and face.
She would come in around the same time late every night.
One day, while collecting her payment, I inevitably touched her hands.
From that day on, I was very freaked out by her because she had the coldest hands.
Yes! I found out I had an aversion to floral old ladies with cold hands!

Throughout the years, being a night owl myself, I saw her rather frequently.
I shuddered everytime she passed me.
Of course, I was just being very silly.

Today, while studying at Macdonalds, I saw her walk pass.
I wondered to myself ..
Whether she was lonely?
Whether there were people who cared about her?
Whether she was downstairs looking for some love?
Whether I was just looking at myself, 40 years down the road...

I obviously have a short attention span.
With regards to studying only..

Very Bad Memories

Recently, I bumped into my Ex. Well, sort of.

Was at the coffeeshop..
AD : " Hey, your friend! He was staring at you!"
Me: ( Turned around only to see the ex) " Fuck! Its not funny..!"
Everybody : (laughs heartily)

I was a little pissed.
Pissed at my friend for noticing him.
Pissed at the Ex for showing up in my line of vision.
Pissed at myself for having been together with him.
Because this Ex, had been the butt of many jokes on me.
(And I do see him around because he lives a few blocks away)
Because this Ex, never fails to remind me that I do make mistakes.
BIG, CRAZY, I-MUST-HAVE-BEEN-BLIND/DRUNK MISTAKES.

Back then,
I was young.
I was kind.
I was bored.
I met him.
We got together.
I found out he was a little loony. (IM SERIOUS!)
I dumped him.
He stalked me for a year.

The most pissy thing was that my friend actually had a feeling that he was loony, but didn't dare to tell me because she thought I was so deeply in love with him.
What the hell man.

An excellent Meal

Had a late lunch at Sitara, a northern Indian restaurant @ Serangoon Rd.(Opposite Mustafa)
Was wandering around looking for a nice Indian place to eat, finally deciding on it.

They sure have great service!
So great that I tipped them happily at the end of the meal.
I cant even remember the last time I left a tip. ( unwanted loose change not counted)

I love the waiters!
There were mainly 2 types there:

1.Adorable
The rotund-looking middle aged type with a mustache to complete the look.
Armed with a cute smile, kind face and a very friendly attitude, he took my heart away! Awwww..

2.Handsome
What else is there to say? The tall, fair and handsome Indian waiter took my heart away as well!
Awwww...

They were very sympathetic as well. Seeing that I was alone, they were not stingy with their conversation.

Mr Handsome: " Where are you from?"
Me:" Erm, Singapore.. "
Mr Handsome: " Oh! Your face doesn't look local! I thought you were from somewhere else!"
Does it count that my mother is from Indonesia??
He must have been really confused by my brown contact lens.

Mr Adorable also educated me on the finer points of Indian crusine, North and South.
I wasn't really listening though.
Because I just liked staring at him.

Food was good, a little over the budget for me but I guess it was worth it.
Because with their excellent service, I had a really enjoyable meal.

Im Tough Part II

During the weekend, in the middle of the night, a friend brought us to a fishing farm somewhere in the east of Singapore.
It was a truly undesirable kampong experience.
Ants with a killer bite were everywhere on the floor.
Had to stand on a stool to avoid getting bitten.

There was a really sweet and silly Labrador there, who fell into the water cos he's just so silly.
Dogs seem to have a problem with walking backwards on planks. Or maybe its just him!

There were many other dogs in small cages there.
One of which is him here..

I stared at him for a long time.

Because I dont think he's supposed to be here in sunny Singapore.

Im Tough

When trudging through grass as high as me, I regret having an ass itchy enough to follow the boys on their fishing adventure. Besides the undesirable terrain, it was fun though! There are many pretty fishes at the seaside..

I met jesus there too...
